From Our Leader

Brand Labs is a pretty young company. We’ve been around for a few years and we have a couple of hundred customers, but in the big scheme of things, we’re just starting out. That’s why it may seem a bit odd to already be talking about a new beginning, so bear with me for a moment.

2008 was a rough year for business. Every day brought news of another company going under, including some well-established and trusted brands; hardly the type of environment in which you would expect a company to thrive… but thrive we did. In the worst economy most of us have ever known, Brand Labs continues to grow. We continue to welcome new clients and find new ways to serve old ones. It seems like we break our own sales record nearly every month. Now before this starts to sound like gloating, I’ll make my point: Why are we starting again? Well… because we can.

Our successes (both internally and on behalf of our clients) have given us the freedom to rededicate ourselves to what we do best: drive eCommerce. We can take the time to expand our catalog of services, to develop new resources, and find innovative new ways to take advantage of resources we already have in place. No one is better equipped to help you start and build your business, but just because we’re ahead of the pack, it doesn’t mean we’re going to slow down.

So, what does this rebirth mean to you in a strictly practical sense? Plenty. To start with, there’s our new website (and this blog!) It’s a work in progress, but we intend to build the Brand Labs site into an important resource for the entire Volusion community. Here, you’ll find information and services that are invaluable to any Volusion merchant. Speaking of Volusion, you’ll find that it comes up a lot around here. It’s our platform of choice and if you look closely, you’ll see that this entire site is hosted on Volusion. Of course we understand that Volusion is intended as a shopping platform, but we just wanted to show off a little. Making Volusion do things that it wasn’t necessarily intended to do is sort of our specialty. Poke around the site a little bit. You’ll see what we mean.

Of course, a new website may not be all that unexpected from an eCommerce company, so you may be wondering about the actual substance of this big “rebirth” thing. Well, to truly appreciate it, I guess you’d have to be a Brand Labs customer. If you were, you’d see how our ever-expanding staff is better able to serve you. You’d see how our variety of new products and services fit together to make your eCommerce marketing easier and more effective. You’d see how your business can benefit from our business’s success.

… for now, though, I’d just like to say, “Welcome to Brand Labs… again.”
