Bullet Works Gets a Bang Out of Volusion

Posted: Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in Sporting Goods, Volusion Site Design, Web Design

We’d like to take a moment to talk about client-related blog post headline puns.  We love ‘em.  Can’t get enough of ‘em.  Bullet Works, however, presented a bit of a problem:

Bullet Works Shoots Volusion, But Not in a Bad Way

Volusion Succumbs to Hail of Fire from Bullet Works

Bullet Works Hits Volusion Right Between the Eyes

… see what we mean?

Regardless, we just built a new store for The Bullet Works.  Check it out…

Sprinkler Supply Store Launches New Volusion Store

Posted: Tuesday, August 10, 2010 in Home, Tools and Hardware, Volusion, Volusion Site Design, Web Design

This is another one of those cases wherein the name of the store in question has completely robbed this announcement of any sense of mystery so we’ll just go ahead and say it… Sprinkler Supply Store sells sprinkler supplies. (duh).

If it has to do with suburban irrigation needs, Sprinkler Supply has you covered.  Hoses, valves, sprinklers – they’ve got it all.

BUT, lest you think that they’re completely one-note, Sprinkler Supply also sells landscape lighting, gardening supplies and products to meet all of your decorative water feature needs.

So, we were wrong about the name telling the whole story.  Our apologies to the fine folks at Sprinkler Supply Store and welcome to the Brand Labs family!

Roark Supply Gives Volusion More Power (*GRUNT*)

Please forgive the terribly dated Tim Allen reference, but we should certainly be forgiven.  After all, he lived just down the road back when he was just a humble coke dealer, so he’ll always have a place in our hearts.

Anyhoo, Roark Supply’s new Volusion store offers everything that any tool-man (or tool-woman) could ever hope for.  From simple hand tools to pro-quality power tools, Roark has definitely got you covered.

Bonus little known fact: Tim Allen’s real last name is Dick.  True story.

Red Hat Society Volusion Store Relaunch

If you’ve followed Brand Labs at all, it’s likely that you know that we’re Volusion merchants ourselves… and in case you didn’t know, our largest Volusion store is the official Red Hat Society Store.  It’s the one that launched our business (back before it was officially associated with The Society) and it’s very near and dear to us.  With all of that in mind, we’re doubly proud to announce that The Red Hat Society Store has just received a major facelift!

In order to be more accommodating to our audience, many of whom are advanced in years (but still fabulous) we’ve increased the site’s overall usability.  With simpler (and larger) navigation and more prominent contact information (among other improvements), we’ve tweaked everything to ensure that our clients have the best possible user experience.

So, congratulations to us from us!  Good job, us!  Gosh, thanks, us.  We couldn’t have done it without us.

Sara Glove Fits Volusion Like a… Do We Have to Say it?

Posted: Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in Apparel, Safety, Volusion, Volusion Site Design, Web Design

Sometimes there’s little for us to say about a new site launch that isn’t explained in the site’s name.  This is just such a case.

Sara Glove sells gloves.  They sell lots and lots of gloves.  We designed their store.

Rue La La Lo-Lo-Loves Brand Labs’ Clients

Posted: Thursday, July 22, 2010 in Clients, News, Site Launch

Rue-La-La is an “invitation only” high fashion discount shopping service.  Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive exclusive daily offers sent right to your inbox and then it’s up to you to spend, spend, spend until you’re totally fabulous and/or fierce.

Well, by happy happenstance, today’s exclusive offer was headlined by two Brand Labs’ clients: Madison Avenue Couture and Lois Hill.  Both new store designs are still in progress, so we can’t link you to them, but trust us when we say they’re both fabulous and fierce.

It’s always exciting to see a client featured in another outlet (unless it’s on COPS or 60 Minutes) so today we’re doubly pleased.

All Aboard the eCommerce Express!

Posted: Monday, July 19, 2010 in Hobby and Crafts, Volusion Site Design, Web Design

Hearkening back to another era (or to the Hogwart’s Express), Fast Tracks (to be found at handlaidtrack.com) is like a beautiful dream of days gone by.  Its rich, dark tones and art deco styling make us want to build a giant table in our basement and fill it with hundreds of intertwining tracks and tunnels and little switching stations with tiny, little railway workers and itty-bitty cows and bottle brush trees and all that other awesome stuff… but our wife won’t let us.

So for all of your model railroading needs, be sure to visit Fast Track’s fantastic Volusion store.

Welcome to the Brand Labs family, Fast Tracks!

Volusion is Now Solar Powered

Posted: Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Alternative Energy, Design, Home, Volusion, Volusion Site Design

We’re jumping the gun a bit on this one, but it’s super sunny today so we just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to talk about Solar Geek Living’s new Volusion store.

Granted, it’s not fully merchandised (unless you’re looking to stock up on some lorem ipsum) but even now you can begin to get an idea of the full range of alternative energy products that will soon be available at Solar Geek.

We also designed and implemented their blog.  Again, it’s not quite ready for its national debut, but, like we said, the summer sun’s got us thinking solar, so we thought we’d pass it along.

Congratulations, Solar Geek!
