Sometimes, we get so caught up in actually building the Interwebs that we forget to talk about our accomplishments. In an attempt to rectify that situation, today we bring you another in our series of gems from the site design attic…
React Gear offers a full range of sporting goods and supplies intended to prepare you for any emergency. Commie uprising? Check. Attacked by bears? You’re covered. Zombie apocalypse? Aim for the head.
We’re always happy to welcome new folks to the Brand Labs family, but in this case, we’re especially happy because when something bad goes down, you want the well-equipped folks on your side. Welcome, React Gear!
Carnal DaMMAge, one of the leading online retailers of MMA-related goods, took a big step forward today with the launch of their iPhone-friendly website.
Now, Carnal DaMMAge’s customers will be able to shop (and buy) on a mobile-optimized Volusion site, eliminating one more barrier between browsing and conversion.
You, too, can have an iPhone-friendly Volusion store for less than a thousand dollars! (Okay… it’s $995, so not a lot less than a thousand… but still, it’s less.)
If you’d like to capture some of the ever-expanding mCommerce market (quickly and affordably) check out iVoloo. On the other hand, if you’d like to beat the tar out of someone, but you’d like to be sure you’re properly outfitted first, check out Carnal DaMMAge.
For the uninitiated, MMA is short for “Mixed Martial Arts”. It’s currently the fastest growing sport in the world and MMA Warehouse is one of its leading proponents (and most prominent retailers). If you like wearing amazingly ornate t-shirts while watching a couple of guys beat the living hell out of each other, then you may want to head over there to get some supplies.
Let’s be completely clear about one thing. War is bad. People die. Cities are reduced to rubble. Cultures develop a deep hatred of each other. Despite all of this, gathering a group of your best friends and pretending to stalk and kill them is a heck of a way to spend an afternoon. We can’t explain it, nor will we try. Perhaps the nice folks at Airsoft Atlanta would be willing to try.
Not only is Airsoft’s site one of our favorite recent launches, it’s also one of the more graphically intense and heavily thematic designs we’ve ever completed. With a trade dress that speaks simultaneously of combat and gaming, the store perfectly captures the flavor of Airsoft’s brand, but don’t take our word for it. Here’s a quote directly from the customer:
“The site looks freakin’ awesome !! We’re very happy with it! Everyone at the company wants the new design online asap – especially if you compare to our current site. We’re shocked you were able to put post-apocalyptic, steampunk, urban warfare, and futuristic game design all into the design! We love it ! It goes perfectly with the idea we had originally in our heads.”
Our seemingly endless parade of recent site launch announcements continues with fellow Michiganders, Third Coast Surf Shop. Since 2005, Ryan Gerard has been serving the Midwest’s hearty surfing community from his brick and mortar shop in New Buffalo, Michigan. As unlikely as it may seem, Michigan plays host to a growing network of surfers, eager to take advantage of the largest freshwater system in the world and its 11,000 miles of coastline.
Third Coast Surf Shop has been featured in media outlets including NPR, CBS, NBC and The Honolulu Star Bulletin.
We tried to avoid ending this piece with a hacky surf lingo bastardization, but we just couldn’t: if you want to catch a bodacious deal, you should carve your way to Third Coast Surf Shop, bro.
… we feel just sick about that last sentence and sincerely apologize to our surfing brethren.
Michigan gets a bad rap, but for us hearty Michiganders, there are few places we’d rather be. If you were here right now, you’d be enjoying the peak of the cherry season, the pinnacle of the hockey season (Go Wings!) and the waning days of the surfing season. Yes… the surfing season.
There’s a growing surf movement on our west coat and one of its leaders is the Third Coast Surf Shop. Ryan Gerard opened the shop about five years ago in New Buffalo, MI and his business has been thriving ever since. As a matter of fact, we’re currently in the process of designing his new, expanded site for the Volusion platform. In the midst of this, NBC’s Today show ran a segment about Ryan and his shop just yesterday. We present the clip here as proof positive that Michigan is one of the most surprising places in America.
… and it’s totally shaped like a mitten, which is cool.
As of mere moments ago, our latest site launched… in this case, literally. Ready Heli is a well-established provider of equipment and supplies for the discerning model helicopter enthusiast and now they have a site worthy of their status: ReadyHeli.com. Welcome Ready Heli and keep ‘em flyin’!
