We admit it. We’re jumping the gun a bit on this one because it’s so damn good-looking…
Some time in the near future, Model Roundup (here’s a link to their old site) will be launching their new Volusion site. Normally we wait until the big switch to bring a new design to your attention, but this one is just dying to see the light of day and we couldn’t resist. It’s also a nice opportunity for you to see a bit of before and after, in case you’re ever wondering about the merit of good design when it comes to branding and credibility.
We’ll probably post about this one again when it actually launches, because we can’t get enough of it, but for now, you can just Revell* in this sneak peek.
*That’s not a misspelling… trust us. The model nerds are cracking up at that.
Today happens to be the 23rd birthday of Office Furniture Concepts and what better way to celebrate than with a brand, spanking new Volusion site?
Boasting one of the largest collections of office furniture and accessories that we’ve ever seen, Office Furniture Concepts stands ready to fill every workplace-related need you can imagine… including seating for big & tall folks (which, we must admit, we didn’t even know existed).
So to the fine folks at Office Furniture Concepts, we say happy birthday and welcome to the Brand Labs family!

We won’t say where, but we will say that we’ve got a tattoo (or two), discreetly tucked away – out of the public eye. We’re proud to say that the tattoos in question do not feature tribal imagery, the Tasmanian Devil in college athletic garb or Calvin peeing on something. Regardless, we’ve got our ink, so we’re thrilled to add Tattoo U Direct to our stable of clients.
Offering a range of tattoo tools and supplies as well as flash art and piercing equipment, Tattoo U Direct is a one-stop, online body modification shop. So if you need a hole on your person where you don’t currently have one, or there are parts of your body that you think would look a bit better in a nice shade of green, you should head over to Tattoo U Direct. They’ll hook you up… literally.

Got an event? Need a video of it? We just may have just the ticket…
Brand Labs is proud to announce that we’ve just launched the new Volusion site for The Event Video Company. Providing high-quality video services and products in all fifty states, EVC stands ready to document just about anything. Kids’ hockey game? Check. Model railroading seminar? Check. Vegan cooking class? Check and mate.
Welcome to the Brand Labs family, EVC!
Sometimes, we get so caught up in actually building the Interwebs that we forget to talk about our accomplishments. In an attempt to rectify that situation, today we bring you another in our series of gems from the site design attic…
React Gear offers a full range of sporting goods and supplies intended to prepare you for any emergency. Commie uprising? Check. Attacked by bears? You’re covered. Zombie apocalypse? Aim for the head.
We’re always happy to welcome new folks to the Brand Labs family, but in this case, we’re especially happy because when something bad goes down, you want the well-equipped folks on your side. Welcome, React Gear!
Carnal DaMMAge, one of the leading online retailers of MMA-related goods, took a big step forward today with the launch of their iPhone-friendly website.
Now, Carnal DaMMAge’s customers will be able to shop (and buy) on a mobile-optimized Volusion site, eliminating one more barrier between browsing and conversion.
You, too, can have an iPhone-friendly Volusion store for less than a thousand dollars! (Okay… it’s $995, so not a lot less than a thousand… but still, it’s less.)
If you’d like to capture some of the ever-expanding mCommerce market (quickly and affordably) check out iVoloo. On the other hand, if you’d like to beat the tar out of someone, but you’d like to be sure you’re properly outfitted first, check out Carnal DaMMAge.

Brand Labs is happy to announce the launch of Dose of Inspiration! More than just an apparel store, d.o.i (as their friends call them) has a mission. From their “about us” page:
At Dose of Inspiration our objective is to evoke confidence, encourage creativity and inspire individuals to follow their dreams! With our collection of hip, wearable art and accessories, we are on a mission to spread inspiration across the globe!
They go on to quote a first century Greek philosopher, a Scottish mountaineer and the sixth president of the United States. It’s fair to say they may be the most intellectual purveyors of pink t-shirts in the history of Volusion.
Welcome to the Brand Labs family, d.o.i!

As we continue to unearth some previously hidden treasures, it seemed appropriate to begin today with National Geographic UK. Of course, as a long-standing institution in both publishing and world exploration, they require no introduction, so we’ll just leave it at famous client name-dropping.

With the wedding season fast approaching, could there be a more fitting introduction than Ella Park Bridal? With a brick & mortar store in Newburgh, IN, Ella Park not only uses their site to sell online, but to schedule appointments for their real world salon and to gather information from brides-to-be in order to make their on-site visits more fruitful. It’s an excellent integration of the real and the virtual.

Grounded is dedicated to modern living and the home furnishings and gifts that go along with a contemporary lifestyle. Their site is clean and airy and makes us want to make a nice cup of green tea, listen to NPR and talk about post-modernist French cinema.

Back in the old days (last year) we weren’t quite as vigilant when it came to posting our activities to our blog. We intend to rectify that as we move forward… starting today. What you’ll see here is a few of the sites that didn’t get a proper announcement when we launched them. Without further ado…
Cherry & East specializes in “gifts, home and textiles,” and it stands, to this day, as one of the girliest sites we’ve ever designed. It’s so girly, in fact, that it can make a full-grown man consider buying an ornamental throw and a matching, decorative pillow.

… speaking of girly, there’s Bel Fiore Bridal. Expanding their wedding business beyond their brick and mortar store in Marietta, GA, the site doesn’t simply focus on online sales, but the culture surrounding the store. With a regularly updated events schedule and a blog that features their “Bel Fiore Brides,” they do an excellent job of fostering a genuine feeling of community.

… moving on from the wedding to the honeymoon, we find ourselves at Lingerie 4 Wholesale. This is actually one of our earliest customers, but for some unexplained reason, we find ourselves drawn to it all these years later. Maybe it’s the easy navigation or clear category structure. Your guess is as good as ours.
