A couple of weeks back in this post, we announced that we had created a soft-add-to-cart feature for Volusion. We did so in response to a number of requests we had received from our customers. Well, apparently, the folks at Volusion have been hearing the same requests because they just announced that soft-add-to-cart is now a standard feature for all of their customers. Frankly, we’re thrilled that this very popular tool will now be available to everyone. Every time our platform of choice gets stronger, it’s good news for us. But…
We still like our tool, and we’ll tell you why. First of all, ours works from the category page, rather than being confined to the product detail page. Fewer clicks = faster conversion. Second, customization of the design to match the look and feel of your site is included in the price of our tool for a more seamless shopping experience. There are a couple of other little things we like as well (including our progress bar) but here’s the bottom line: you should definitely consider using the built-in tool, especially if you’re on a tight budget. Free is simply better for most people, especially those who are launching a new business. Our tool is better suited to people who have reached the point in their business development wherein they’re looking to refine the shopping experience and strengthen their brand.
To sum up: free stuff is totally awesome!
